Description

Extra-wide solid oak live-edge timber slab with substantial proportions, attractive natural figuring and waney edges.

This slab has a prominent central split running through much of its length. This could be stabilised or incorporated into the design, making it particularly suitable for a river or epoxy resin table project.

Its exceptional width also makes it suitable for creating a large dining table, boardroom table, desk, breakfast bar, countertop or other bespoke furniture project.

Measurements are approximate due to the slab’s natural, irregular edges.

This slab is rough sawn and unfinished. It has natural markings, colour variation, weathering, staining, splits, checking and other imperfections associated with character timber. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.

The timber was air-dried for approximately five years at a sawmill on correctly positioned bearers. It is now stored dry inside a ventilated container and remains supported on bearers.

The slabs are currently stacked in dry storage. The buyer must bring sufficient assistance for loading. Other slabs may need to be moved to access the purchased slab and must be restacked neatly afterwards.
