Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Charcoal Grill Chef to join our Turkish & Mediterranean restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a particular focus on Charcoal grilling techniques. As a Grill Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals while ensuring food safety standards are met. This role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled items, ensuring quality and presentation meet our restaurant standards.
Follow recipes and portion controls to maintain consistency in meal preparation.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
Meat cutting skills for adana, lamb Chops, lamb ribs etc
Assist in the preparation of other menu items as needed, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager.
Ensure all cooking equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Provide excellent service by ensuring that meals are served promptly and meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a kitchen environment, preferably with specific experience as a Grill Cook in Turkish restaurant and similar role.
Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation.
Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable, along with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask during busy service periods.
