Do you have experience of managing import sea freight shipments? Confident booking cargo with carriers & overseas agents and handling documentation? If you are looking for a challenging, varied role with a forward thinking, innovative company, this could be the perfect role for you.The Role: As a Senior Freight Forwarder, you will be responsible for the start to finish process of moving import shipments mainly by sea but some air. You will be commercially minded with a real passion for moving freight & solving problems for time critical cargo Your responsibilities will also include;Negotiating and booking cargo with carriers.Managing documentation flow, including Bills of Lading, Packing Lists, Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Origin & Licences.Ensuring cargo is Customs cleared using CDSArranging delivery and managing all the way to final destination.Essential Criteria:Import experienceCommercially mindedExcellent communicationAbout the Company: This is a position with a local freight forwarder that specialises in moving a wide range of cargo across the globe.
