HGV Technician – Northampton – GBP40,000–GBP60,000+ DOE + Uncapped Overtime

About the Company

Our client is a well–established main dealer group representing DAF Trucks, operating a modern, well–equipped commercial vehicle workshop. They're growing their technician team to support continued expansion across their dealer network, and offer genuine investment in training and progression.

This is a great opportunity for an HGV Technician to join a busy main dealer workshop in Northampton, carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs to manufacturer and DVSA standards. Both day and night shift opportunities are available, with sites typically operating across a 24–hour, 5.5–day working week.

HGV Technician – The details

Salary GBP40,000–GBP60,000+, depending on experience and shift pattern Uncapped overtime paid at 1.5x In–house IRTEC training and accreditation available Genuine career progression within a main dealer network Choice of day or night shift patterns HGV Technician – Requirements

Level 3 qualification (NVQ, IRTEC, City & Guilds) or equivalent, or working towards one HGV mechanical experience preferred open to technicians at varying stages of their career Full UK driving licence Strong diagnostic and fault–finding ability Comfortable working independently and as part of a team HGV Technician – Responsibilities

Servicing, maintenance and repair of HGVs to manufacturer standard Fault diagnosis using dealer–level diagnostic equipment MOT preparation to DVSA standards Accurate completion of job cards and service documentation Maintaining a safe, organised workshop environment About Us
