Job Role: HGV Technician
Location: Frome
Pay 40,560 – 42,640
Shift: Days M–F (40 hrs)
Hours: Week 1: 6am–3pm / Week 2: 9am–6pm
Contract: Permanent
Benefits: Overtime all paid at 1.5 X , manufacturer training, death in service x 4 salary, on call rota with standby pay, call out pay and overtime
HGV Technician opportunity
My client, a well–established fleet maintenance company is actively seeing to employ an experienced and qualified HGV Technician to be based out of a depot in the Frome area to work on a full–time permanent basis. Excellent ongoing training and career progression opportunities into a supervisor for those that want it as company are expanding. All overtime paid at 1.5 X, 40 hr working week Monday to Friday with no weekends.
HGV Technician dutiesWorking in a purpose built, well equipped workshop, the successful HGV Mechanic will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle service, maintenance and repair on an internal fleet of vehicles as well as third party vehiclesYou will be working on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles to include tractor units, rigid commercial vehicles and some trailersHGV Technician qualifications / Experience requiredIn order to qualify for the role, the successful Technician will ideally have industry recognised qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds) in heavies or be time servedYou must have detailed experience as an HGV Technician and be familiar with modern commercial vehiclesHold a full UK driving Licence
