Location: Dudley

Salary: £35,362.60

Hours: 40 hours per week + 7.5 hours compulsory overtime

Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT / Yard Operative to join a busy recycling and scrap metal operation in the Dudley area.

This is a hands-on role working within a busy yard environment, so we are looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

As an FLT / Yard Operative, your duties will include:

* Operating a forklift truck within a busy yard environment

* Loading and unloading

* Moving and organising materials around the yard

* Sorting and handling scrap metal and recyclable materials

* Keeping the yard clean, tidy and organised

* Following site health and safety procedures

* Working as part of a team to ensure the yard operates efficiently

* Carrying out general yard duties as required

Monday – Thursday: 6:00am – 4:45pm

Friday: 6:00am – 2:00pm

* 40 hours per week

* 7.5 hours compulsory overtime per week

* Two breaks per day, totalling 45 minutes

* Friday includes a 30-minute break

The ideal candidate will:

* Hold a valid FLT licence/certificate

* Have experience working in a yard, warehouse, recycling or industrial environment

* Be physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role

* Be reliable and xjnqpsq punctual

* Have a strong work ethic and good attitude

* Be comfortable working outdoors

* Be able to follow health and safety procedures

* Be willing to complete the compulsory overtime

Previous experience in scrap metal, recycling or a similar industrial environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
