Are you ready to shape the future of one of London's most exciting Leisure Services? Haringey is transforming its leisure service, reshaping it around a broader wellbeing offer and making significant upgrades to services and facilities.

The service recently moved in-house and this is a rare opportunity to help shape a leisure service now it is back under direct council control. The facilities include leisure centres at Tottenham Green, New River and Park Road, including the iconic Lido. Haringey Council is engaging with its communities to ensure it develops inclusive, accessible services that meet the diverse needs of our residents.

The Head of Active Wellbeing will lead the team through this period of change and beyond, helping to develop and shape services that meet the needs of our community and make the service financially sustainable.

Reporting to the Programme Director for Wellbeing & Climate, you will lead the Active Wellbeing Team, including Leisure Centres Area Manager, Programme Manager for Active Wellbeing and the Leisure Transformation Manager. Frontline teams work across four sites and the community. You will work closely with the Head of Parks and Climate Action to ensure opportunities for active wellbeing are offered across our network of parks and greenspaces.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leisure management professional to lead our Active Wellbeing service. You must have a proven track record in leisure delivery and be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of people - colleagues, councillors, the community and partner organisations. You will have strong commercial experience, a passion for tackling health inequalities and the drive to deliver transformational change.
