Description

Belmont Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Safer Neighbourhood Officer to work with our client based in the Northumberland area on a temporary basis. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

The Role:

* Investigating and managing a caseload of high-level anti-social behaviour cases within the Council’s housing stock.

* Gathering evidence, conducting interviews and home visits, and maintaining detailed case records.

* Working closely with artner agencies to resolve ASB cases.

* Representing the Council at safeguarding meetings, ASB case reviews and Community Trigger reviews.

* Coordinating and participating in joint operations with Police and other partners, including occasional out-of-hours work.

* Taking enforcement action in line with relevant legislation and tenancy conditions.

* Preparing witness statements and court bundles and attending court on behalf of the Council.

* Ensuring court orders and any associated follow-up actions are completed.

* Working proactively and reactively with other Safer Neighbourhood Officers to reduce ASB across the housing stock.

The Candidate:

* Recent and relevant experience investigating, managing and resolving high-level ASB and crime and disorder issues

* Previous housing experience, particularly dealing with complex or high-level ASB cases.

* Thorough knowledge of housing management, ASB legislation, policies and best practice. xjnqpsq

* Knowledge of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and Housing Acts 1985 and 1996.

* Valid UK driving licence.
