Contract: Ongoing Temporary (Year–round stability)

Earnings: From 19.05ph up to 49.61ph

Class 1 Weekend Driver Opportunity

Join Gi Group supporting one of the UK's biggest supermarkets, as a Class 1 Weekend Driver. This isn't just seasonal help; we are looking for professional drivers for a long–term partnership based in, Bedford. You will play a vital role in keeping the nation fed by delivering to stores and petrol stations across the region.

Role & Responsibilities :

Chilled & frozen loads, mostly stored in cages but some cases may be pallets1–3 store deliveries , this can be to supermarkets or petrol station storesDrivers must be flexible to operate Class 1and Class 2 vehicles (always paid at Class 1 rate)Conducting thorough vehicle checks and maintaining accurate digital tachograph records.Drivers must drive as per clients professional standards which you will be coached and trained onAbility to manage your Working Time Directive, and Driving Hours rules and Regulations in order to meet compliance expectations, and avoid infringementActing as a professional face of the brand when arriving at storesShifts :

Saturday & SundayAvailable start time windows : 13:00 – 17:00, 18:00 – 22:00, 23:00 – 03:00Minimum 1 weekend day availability is a must

Days 06:00–14:00 : STD 19.05ph & Overtime 26.81ph

Bacs 14:00–22:00 : STD 20.45ph & Overtime 28.21ph

Nights 22:00–06:00 : STD 22.41ph & Overtime 30.17ph

WK 12 Rates – Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Days 06:00–14:00 : STD 19.47ph & Overtime 27.40ph

Backs 14:00–22:00 : STD 22.10ph & Overtime 30.03ph

Nights 22:00–06:00 : STD 23.66ph & Overtime 31.59ph

WK27 Rates – Please note the below includes your advanced holiday pay

Days 06:00–14:00 : STD 20.57ph & Overtime 28.50ph

Backs 14:00–22:00 : STD 24.81ph & Overtime 31.18ph

Nights 22:00–06:00 : STD 24.81ph & Overtime 32.73ph

Class 1 Driver Requirements

Valid UK Driver Cards (Driving Licence, CPC and DIGI Cards)Minimum 12 months Class 1 licence + 12 months Class 1 driving experiencePrevious experience in store deliveries would be preferred, but is not essentialMax 6 penalty points accepted for minor offences (no DR or DD offences)Availability to work weekends is essential for this 24/7 operationWill have the ability to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as an attention to detail
