Description

The Tentbox Cargo 2 roof tent is a hard shell tent designed for two people with capacity to carry extra equipment on the roof via special Tentbox roof bars. The tent is opened by releasing two simple catches after which gas struts do the rest. The tent can be in use within a minute or two of parking your vehicle. The tent has two side doors, a star gazing 'window' and a rear canopy/opening doorway. Handy pockets are built in to the roof lining for storage. This Cargo 2 has only had light usage from one owner from new and comes with attachable side awning, telescoping aluminium access ladder, attachment bolts and fittings (including locking nuts) a side awning wall, boot bag (to keep inside of tent clean), additional movable attachment rings for the hard shell framing and a winter cover. It is for sale as owner now has use of camper van.

The photographs (all taken in July 2026 except the first shot of the tent on a blue van and second showing side awning) show the tent to be in overall good clean condition with one exception. There are one or two areas of delamination of the side tent wall inner lining (see photograph). These have been cleaned and gently brushed and then re-sealed using Nikwax waterproofing tent and gear solarproofing. The issue was caused during a storage period with a small amount of undetected moisture trapped inside - owners fault.

To buy new all this equipment would cost well over £3000. The slight delamination issue as described is reflected in the asking price. The roof tent is currently stored on trestles at the owners house in Suffolk.
