Year 1 Primary Teacher – Slough

Location: Slough (SL1)

Job Type: Full-Time, 5 days a week

Start: 1st June 2026

End: 17th July 2026

Looking for a lovely Year 1 class where you can really make an impact this summer term?

We’re working with a welcoming primary school in Slough (SL1) that’s looking for a caring and confident KS1 teacher to join their team. It’s a supportive, well-organised school where you’ll feel part of the team from day one and can focus on what matters most — great teaching.

If you enjoy creating engaging lessons and helping young learners build strong foundations, this could be a great fit.

Your role:

• Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons

• Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment

• Support pupils’ development in phonics, literacy, and numeracy

• Monitor progress and adapt learning to suit individual needs

We’re looking for someone who:

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has experience or confidence in KS1 (Year 1 ideally)

Brings patience, energy, and a positive attitude

Builds strong relationships with pupils and staff

Bonus points if you:

• Have phonics experience (e.g. Read Write Inc / Little Wandle)

• Enjoy creative, hands-on learning approaches
