Description

Put your psychology degree to work in the classroom. We're hiring Teaching Assistants across Dover and the surrounding area to support pupils' learning, behaviour, and emotional development in primary and secondary schools. This is a practical way to apply your knowledge of child development, cognitive processes, and mental health. It's also an ideal experience if you're considering a future in educational psychology, teaching, or therapy.

Position: Psychology Graduate - Teaching Assistants

Location: Dover

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £88.94

Key Responsibilities of the Role of Teaching Assistants:

Work alongside teachers to deliver lessons and support learning across a range of subjects

Provide targeted one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help

Support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and emotional or behavioural challenges

Help pupils develop their social, emotional, and communication skills through structured activities and daily interactions

Assist in managing classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement and consistent routines

Adapt learning materials and activities to suit individual needs and learning styles

Encourage pupils to engage in lessons, build confidence, and become independent learners

Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to support plans

Help with classroom organisation, preparation of resources, and supervision during breaktimes or school tripsRequirements

A degree in Psychology (or related subject)
