Our client has a great opportunity for a Specialist Coach to join our team.
Location: Trowbridge, Wiltshire
Salary: GBP22,353 rising to GBP22,821 per annum (Full time equivalent GBP24,331 - GBP24,841 per annum) (Professional Services Grade 4 &4a)
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours per week, Term Time Only 36+4 weeks per year

Specialist Coach - The Role:

This is more than just a support role. As a Specialist Coach, you will be a key part of our Inclusion and Support team - working directly with students and alongside teaching staff to create inclusive, engaging learning environments for all.
Specialist Coach - Key Responsibilities:
You will support students as they transition into college, throughout their studies, and as they prepare for their next steps - whether that's further education, training, or employment.
Working closely with curriculum teams, you will:
Provide 1:1 coaching, small group support, and in-class assistanceChampion inclusive learning practices and tailor support to meet a wide range of needs - including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and communication difficultiesMonitor progress and adapt strategies to ensure learners develop resilience, independence, and confidenceLead interventions in English and Maths, helping to close learning gaps and build core skillsUse specialist equipment and assistive technology to enhance access to learningWork with staff to shape effective teaching strategies and exam access arrangements
Specialist Coach- You:
You will be a proactive, empathetic professional with a deep understanding of inclusive education and learner development. You will have:
Experience working with young people or adults with additional needs in an educational or support settingA positive, flexible mindset and a commitment to helping every student succeedLiteracy and Numeracy at Level 2 (GCSE A-C)A relevant Level 3 qualification (or be willing to work towards one)A collaborative spirit - ready to work closely with academic staff, support teams, and external partnersThis is a rewarding role where no two days are the same. You will be the difference between a learner struggling in silence and one who feels supported, empowered, and ready to succeed.
