Are you a confident and dependable teaching assistant looking for a new opportunity to make an impact? Do you have the experience and understanding needed to support primary-aged children with Autism? If so, this may be the opportunity for you!

SANZA Teaching Agency are supporting a close- knit, inclusive 1- form entry primary school in Waltham Forest. They are seeking a kind, dedicated teaching assistant to join their team.

The role will be working across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 providing targeted support to students with additional needs.

As a teaching assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Providing individualised support to pupils with Autism, helping them engage with and access the curriculum.

Establishing and maintaining consistent classroom routines.

Encouraging independence and helping pupils take an active role in their learning.

Recognising and supporting pupils' sensory needs.

Helping children develop emotional regulation skills and positive relationships with others.

Working closely with class teachers and the SEN team to ensure pupils receive appropriate support.

About you:

Previous experience as a teaching assistant, preferably within a primary school.

A strong understanding of Autism and sensory processing needs.

Effective behaviour management skills.

A proactive approach, with the confidence to use their own initiative. xjnqpsq

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents.
