Location: Salford

Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Start Date: February 2026

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30

Pay Rate: £103.00 - £110.00 per day

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Primary Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Salford. This is a long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children's learning and development, both academically and emotionally.

In this role, you will work closely with pupils across the primary age range, including those with SEN or additional learning needs, providing tailored one-to-one and small-group support. You will become part of a supportive staff team that values collaboration, initiative, and building positive relationships, giving you the chance to make a real difference in children's day-to-day learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

As Teaching Assistant, you will be expected to:

Provide focused one-to-one and small-group support within the classroom

Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery, preparation, and assessment

Deliver targeted interventions to support pupils with SEN or additional needs

Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and independence

Support pupils' emotional wellbeing and personal development

Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-organised learning environmentRequirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Previous experience working in a primary school setting

A good understanding of the primary curriculum

A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach

Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team

A clear commitment to safeguarding and child welfareEligibility Criteria

Have the Right to Work in the UK

Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
