Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £85 – £100 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive are looking for dedicated and supportive Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across secondary schools in the Stockport area. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting students’ learning, gaining hands‑on classroom experience, and making a real difference in education.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils’ learning, provide targeted help where needed, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities.

Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to reinforce learning.

Assist with behaviour management and help maintain a calm, positive environment.

Provide support for students with additional needs when required.

Help prepare learning materials and contribute to the smooth running of the classroom.

Requirements

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent); further qualifications in education are desirable.

Experience working with children or young people is highly advantageous.

Strong communication, patience, and organisational skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
