SEN Learning Support Assistant

Leeds (LS10)

Qualiteach Yorkshire are currently looking for passionate and resilient SEN Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist school in South Leeds.

The school caters for pupils aged 2 to 19 with a wide range of needs including moderate and severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), complex needs, Autism, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. Some students also have additional medical, physical, and sensory needs.

You will join a supportive, welcoming, and experienced team who are dedicated to helping every pupil fulfil their potential. Staff are proud to work here — and it shows in the school’s recent Ofsted report praising their high ambitions and aspirations for all pupils.

The Role:

Supporting pupils with a range of SEN and complex needs across the curriculum.

*

Working with teachers to deliver creative and engaging learning opportunities.

*

Supporting with communication, independence and emotional regulation.

*

Building strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

*

Being flexible and proactive — no two days are ever the same!

What you will need:

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A calm, patient and proactive approach.

The ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to change.

*

Previous experience with SEN is desirable but not essential – transferable skills are welcome!
