TeacherActive are excited to be working with a forward–thinking primary school in central Bristol that s looking for a passionate KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their team this term.

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who loves working with children and is keen to develop their classroom skills, take on new challenges, and progress toward HLTA or teacher training routes.

With a highly experienced KS2 team and supportive leadership, you ll be encouraged to bring ideas, grow in confidence, and take on increasing responsibility as you develop within the role.

Your Role: Support pupils across Years 3 6 with learning, wellbeing, and confidence in class

Deliver small–group and 1:1 interventions in maths, reading, and core subjects

Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and behaviour support

Build positive, consistent relationships with pupils to help them reach their full potential

What You ll Need: Previous experience supporting children in KS2 or similar age groups (school or youth setting)

A calm, consistent, and proactive approach to classroom support

Confidence leading small–group work and using creative approaches to learning

Enhanced Child–Only DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
