Role: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Lambeth

Roles & Responsibilities

Supporting classroom teachers in the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons across the curriculum

Working with small groups or one-to-one pupils (including those with additional learning needs) to reinforce learning, pre-teach or provide targeted catch-up support

Assist pupils to develop their social, emotional and behavioural skills by modelling positive behaviour, encouraging independence and resilience

Adapting resources and learning activities to meet individual needs and learning styles

Contributing to staff meetings, CPD and school initiatives that support the wider development of pupils

Supervision of pupils during transitions, break times, lunchtimes or other non-classroom settings as required

Help maintain a safe, stimulating well-resourced classroom environmentAbout You

Has prior experience working with children, ideally in a school setting

Holds relevant qualification (Level2/3 in Childcare, TA or equivalent) or demonstrable equivalent experience

Is resilient, flexible, patient and able to adapt to changing classroom needs

Is organised, proactive and able to take initiative while also working as part of a team
