Description

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Withington area of Manchester is seeking a compassionate and committed 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team from September 2025 for the full academic year. This is a supply position through Tradewind where you will be paid weekly and comparative to your skills and experience

The successful candidate will work closely with a pupil who has special educational needs, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop social skills, and build confidence in their learning environment. This is a rewarding role for someone with patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference to a child's education and wellbeing.

Expectations of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

Provide individualised learning support in line with the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).

Adapt resources and activities to meet specific learning and developmental needs.

Foster a safe, positive, and encouraging learning atmosphere.

Support the pupil's social and emotional development as well as academic progress.

Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals to ensure consistent support.

Maintain accurate records of progress and contribute to regular review meetings.About the School:

Hold a relevant Teaching assistant qualification (or equivalent)
