SEN Teaching Assistant

Area: Tile Hill, Coventry, CV4

Weekly Take Home: 455 – 480

Days: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Term Time Only)

Contract: Long–term to Permanent

Start Date: 01/09/2025

Do you have a passion for supporting young learners with special educational needs?

Long Term Futures are seeking a caring, flexible and committed Teaching Assistant to support children across Reception and Key Stage One at a well–regarded primary school in the Tile Hill area of Coventry.

This role will involve providing consistent, tailored support to pupils with SEN including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). You'll need to be adaptable, patient, and able to work both 1:1 and with small groups, ensuring each child receives the attention they need to thrive. This is a long–term role with the potential to become permanent for the right person.

The Ideal Candidate:

Has previous experience supporting children in a school setting

Comfortable working with children with ASD, SLCN or other additional needs

Able to adapt your communication style to suit individual pupils

Confident supporting both Reception and Key Stage One learners

Holds a relevant TA qualification or a related degree

Is a strong team player who's calm, consistent, and reliable

Has an understanding of early years and primary education approaches
