Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (0.8 FTE or above considered)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Teacher of Chemistry to join a high-achieving and well-resourced science department at a leading independent school. The role offers the opportunity to teach motivated students acrossKey Stage 3, IGCSE and A-Level, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that inspire curiosity and academic excellence in Chemistry.Use practical experiments, demonstrations and multimedia resources to enhance understanding.Monitor and assess student progress, providing clear feedback and support for improvement.Work closely with the science technician team to ensure safe and well-organised laboratory sessions.Contribute to departmental planning, marking and exam preparation.Communicate effectively with parents, pastoral teams and colleagues to support each student's academic and personal development.About YouA degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject.Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) preferred, or a willingness to work towards one.A passion for Chemistry and for inspiring young people to achieve their full potential.Strong classroom management and communication skills.Enthusiastic, professional and committed to continuous improvement.BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceAccess to professional development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environmentExcellent facilities and resources
