PRU & SEND Teacher Job Description (QTS)

As a PRU Teacher / SEND Teacher (QTS), you will deliver adapted, engaging lessons to pupils who require structure, consistency, and strong behaviour support.

You will support pupils with:

SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties)ADHD / ADDChallenging behaviour, including escalation and emotional dysregulation Key Responsibilities:

Planning and delivering differentiated lessons for SEND and SEMH learnersTeaching small classes or low pupil–to–teacher ratiosBehaviour management, de–escalation and emotional regulation strategiesSupporting pupils re–engagement with educationBuilding positive, consistent relationships with vulnerable young peopleWorking alongside LSAs, SENCOs, and external agenciesCreating a calm, safe, and structured learning environment Essential Requirements PRU / SEND Teacher (QTS)
