Children s SEND Worker

Location: Stourbridge, DY8

Contract Type: Full Time or Part Time

Salary: GBP23,000 GBP28,000 per annum

About the Role

We are looking for a caring, patient, and resilient Children s Care Worker to join our dedicated team supporting young people aged 8 – 18 in a nurturing residential environment.

You will play a vital role in helping children and young people who have experienced trauma, neglect, or emotional and behavioural difficulties to feel safe, valued, and empowered to build positive futures.

Key Responsibilities

Provide day–to–day care, guidance, and emotional support to children and young people.

Help young people develop independence and life skills through positive routines and activities.

Support education, health, and wellbeing in line with individual care plans.

Build trusting relationships and act as a positive role model.

Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.

Work collaboratively with social workers, teachers, and other professionals.

Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care.

About You

Compassionate, reliable, and able to build positive relationships with young people.

Experience working with children or young people in a residential, educational, or community setting.

Understanding of trauma, attachment, and emotional regulation.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Flexible and able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep–ins.
