Senior Finance OfficerSlough 35,000 – 43,000 Enhanced Pension Full–Time Office–BasedWe are seeking an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join a well–established and growing educational organisation in Slough. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with previous education sector experience to play a key role in supporting financial operations, budget management, and strategic decision–making.Working closely with senior finance leaders, you will help ensure the effective management of financial systems, processes, and controls while supporting the wider organisation in achieving value for money and maintaining high financial standards.Key Responsibilities

Support senior finance leaders with budget monitoring and financial reportingAssist with annual budget setting and year–end accounts processesMonitor expenditure and income, ensuring accurate financial controls are maintainedMaintain and oversee the contracts registerSupport payroll monitoring activitiesProvide financial support for Special Educational Needs (SEN) budget monitoringProcess supplier invoices and support accounts payable activitiesAssist with procurement processes and value–for–money initiativesSupport the day–to–day operations of the finance functionWork collaboratively with stakeholders across the organisationAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you will have:

Previous finance experience within a school, academy trust, or educational environmentFull or part–qualified accountant status (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent), or be fully qualified AATExperience using Sage 200 and other financial ledger systemsStrong budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organisational and time–management skillsAdvanced IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsThe ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesExperience handling confidential information professionally and sensitivelyWhat's on Offer?
