SEND Teaching Assistant - Primary School, Islington

Location: Islington

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm (term time only)

Pay: £90 - £100 per day (PAYE)

Contract: Long-term

The Role - SEND Teaching Assistant

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism (ASD)

Deliver targeted interventions and assist with classroom learning activities

Support with emotional regulation, positive behaviour strategies, and wellbeing

Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to deliver individualised learning plans

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child can thrive

About You

The ideal SEND TA will:

Have proven experience supporting children with special educational needs, particularly Autism (ASD)

Be patient, empathetic, and resilient in meeting pupils' needs

Confidently promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a committed school team
