Full-time | Term Time Only | £95-£100 per day (PAYE)

Are you an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term role in Islington? A friendly, one-form entry primary school in Islington is seeking a caring and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from September 2025.

Position Overview

Start date: September 2025

Location: Islington Primary School

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:30am - 3:45pm

Pay: £95 - £100 per day (PAYE)

Contract: Long-term, term time only

Role Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils in Reception and Year 1 with Autism (ASD)

Deliver targeted intervention sessions and assist with classroom activities

Support with emotional regulation, behaviour management, and wellbeing

Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans

Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all pupils

The Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant Will:

Have proven experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism (ASD)

Show patience, empathy, and resilience when supporting pupils' needs

Be confident in promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a committed school team
