SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary School | Hammersmith and Fulham

Are you a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful difference in children's lives?

Academics is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly, nurturing, and high-performing primary school that is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team from April 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) while working as part of a welcoming and collaborative school community where staff are valued and pupils are encouraged to reach their full potential.

Role Details

Location: Hammersmith and Fulham

Start Date: May 2026

Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Pay: £95-£105 per day (dependent on experience)Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Support children with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social/emotional needs

Assist teachers in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs

Implement positive behaviour strategies and support pupils' emotional wellbeing and regulation

Help create a nurturing, structured, and inclusive learning environment

Work closely with the SENCO, teachers, and wider support staff to monitor and support pupil progressThe Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience supporting children xjnqpsq with SEN in a school or similar setting

Be patient, empathetic, and resilient

Have a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Be able to build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
