SEN Teaching Assistant
Location - Manchester (M18)
Pay - £95-£110 per day, depending on experience
Start date - 09/03/2026
Contract Type - Full-Time, Long-Term
Hours - Monday to Friday, 9:30am-3:30pm
Are you a kind and compassionate teaching assistant with previous experience supporting young people with SEN? We are currently working with a large SEN provision in Gorton to recruit for SEN teaching assistants.
About the School:
The school is an OFSTED rated Outstanding SEN secondary school. The school caters for pupils aged between 11-19, with complex learning needs and autism.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Work alongside the class teacher, preparing fun and engaging learning resources
Maintain regular communication with the class teacher and external agencies to monitor progress and development
Build strong rapport with the pupils, parents and other staff membersSEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
Previous personal or professional experience supporting SEN is highly desired. This can be in a school or care settings
A kind and compassionate approach to supporting young peopleTo be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional referencesOther
