Description

KS1 Teaching Assistant. Permanent Role.

If you're looking for a role where you can see the difference you make every single day, this could be the right next step.

We're seeking a Teaching Assistant to support a mixed Year 1 and Year 2 class in a mainstream infant school. This is a full-time, temporary to permanent opportunity starting 9th March 2026. You'll be in the same classroom each day, building relationships and becoming a familiar, steady presence.

This class thrives on routine. Clear expectations, calm transitions, and consistent adult support make a real difference. Your role will be to help maintain that structure, support learning in small groups, and provide reassurance for pupils who need a little extra guidance to stay focused and confident.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you'll support both academic progress and emotional wellbeing. You'll work closely with the Class Teacher to ensure the day runs smoothly, from morning phonics through to structured afternoon activities.
