Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary & Secondary)

Location: Cheetham Hill, Manchester

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-time, Term Time Only (via agency)

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team supporting pupils across both primary and secondary age groups in Cheetham Hill. This full-time role will begin ASAP and will follow school hours, Monday to Friday.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with children who have complex needs, including autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. You will play a vital role in helping pupils access learning, develop independence, and thrive in an inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with a range of special educational needs and complex needs in both group and 1:1 settings.

Assist with classroom activities, adapting learning resources to meet individual needs.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals.

Provide emotional and behavioural support to ensure students feel safe and engaged.

Help with personal care needs where required.

Requirements:

Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN/complex needs is desirable.

Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for making a difference.

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Flexibility to support across both primary and secondary settings.

An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Must be confident providing personal care.What We Offer:
