This particular school is looking for SEN Teaching Assistants who can confidently support pupils with high-level and complex needs, including communication difficulties, behavioural challenges, ASD, ADHD, SEMH, medical needs and global developmental delay. Staff joining this team must be resilient, nurturing, and able to work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and wider support staff to ensure pupils receive consistently high-quality care, structure and engagement throughout the school day.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

Experience supporting pupils within a primary school setting

Confidence working with children who have high-level or complex SEN needs

The ability to use calm, consistent strategies to support behaviour, communication and regulation

Strong relationship-building skills with pupils, staff and families

A patient, nurturing and proactive approach, with the ability to adapt quickly to individual learner needs
