Teaching Assistant - Year 2 (SEND) | Dukinfield Primary School

Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a welcoming primary school in Dukinfield who are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join their Year 2 class.

This is a rewarding role supporting pupils with high SEND needs and challenging behaviour, so the school is looking for a confident, resilient and nurturing individual who can build strong relationships and provide consistent support.

The Role:

Supporting pupils in a Year 2 classroom with high SEND needs

Managing and supporting challenging behaviour positively and effectively

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO

Providing 1:1 and small group support

Creating a safe, structured and engaging learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)

Proven experience supporting pupils with SEND and challenging behaviour

Strong behaviour management skills xjnqpsq

A calm, patient and proactive approach

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development
