SEN Teaching Assistant - Year 1/2 Class

Location: Runcorn

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term

Salary: £88.98-£100 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Education are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Runcorn who are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a Year 1/2 class.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support to pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access learning and thrive both academically and socially.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:

Have previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) within a primary school setting

Be patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping children reach their full potential

Be able to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from the class teacher and SENCO

Have strong communication skills and a proactive, positive approach

Requirements to work with Tradewind Education:

To be considered for this role, you must:

Have the right to work in the UK

Hold a valid DBS check on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)

Provide a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years

Have recent experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting
