EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Wythenshawe

Start Date: Immediately

Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in their earliest years? Cover People are looking for a dedicated EYFS SEN TA to join a welcoming Wythenshawe primary school in a long-term role, working specifically with children who have Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN).

This inclusive and nurturing school is committed to ensuring every child achieves their potential through personalised support, high-quality provision, and a safe, stimulating environment. With a strong focus on communication and early development, you will work as part of a skilled and caring team to provide the targeted interventions and encouragement children need to thrive both socially and academically.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support for children in EYFS with SLCN and communication needs.

Implement strategies and interventions to support speech and language development, guided by SEN specialists.

Collaborate with teachers, speech and language therapists, and external agencies to ensure consistent support.

Promote positive relationships, independence, and confidence in young learners.

Create an engaging, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn.

Essential Criteria

Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly Speech, Language and Communication Needs.

A background in EYFS education or early childhood settings.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to use initiative and adapt support to meet individual needs.

A patient, caring, and proactive approach to helping children succeed.
