Quokka Education is working with one of the top 10 schools in Hampshire, based in Winchester, to recruit an empathetic and motivated SEN Teaching Assistant for September 2025.

No classroom experience? No problem.

We provide full support, free online CPD, and taster days to help you feel confident in the role.

What you’ll be doing:

* Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups

* Helping pupils with SEND (autism, ADHD, SEMH) access lessons and thrive

* Building strong, positive relationships with students

* Assisting with behaviour, communication, and emotional regulation

* Working alongside teachers and SEN staff to create an inclusive environment

Who we’re looking for:

* An empathetic and motivated individual with a passion for supporting young people

* People with any background of working with young people (youth work, sports coaching, tutoring, care, mentoring, etc.)

* Patient, adaptable team players who want to make a difference

What we offer:

* Weekly pay – from £95 per day (via PAYE)

* DBS reimbursement once you start

* Free CPD and training in SEND and behaviour management

* A dedicated consultant who supports you throughout

* Pathways into long-term roles and teacher training

Location: Winchester (Top 10 Hampshire School)

Hours: 8:30am – 3:15pm, term time only

Start date: September 2025

Contract: Temp-to-perm

Pay: From £95 per day (via PAYE)
