Description

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Colindale, London. This role focuses on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2.

You will work closely with individual pupils and small groups, providing tailored support to help them develop confidence, resilience, and positive learning habits. This is a role where patience, empathy, and a good sense of humour go a long way—every day will be different, and every day you’ll be making a real difference.

Why This School?

This is a vibrant, community-focused school that believes in nurturing the whole child, not just academic performance. Staff are supported by a caring leadership team, who value professional growth and promote a healthy work–life balance.

• Positive, Inclusive Culture: The school embraces diversity and promotes wellbeing for pupils and staff.

• Collaborative Teamwork: You’ll be part of a close-knit, supportive team who share best practices and celebrate successes together.

• Focus on Wellbeing: Children are encouraged to thrive emotionally and socially, not just academically.

Why This Role is Ideal

• Perfect for experienced TAs looking to specialise in SEMH support.

• Offers valuable experience in behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.

• Convenient term-time hours—great for balancing work and personal life.

• Easy access to transport links in North West London.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children with SEMH needs (in school or similar settings).

• Strong interpersonal skills and a calm, positive approach.

• A passion for helping young learners reach their full potential.

If you’re ready to support children’s growth both inside and outside the classroom, we’d love to hear from you.
