We are seeking a dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join a specialist SEN school in the Croydon area. The school supports young people with autism and additional learning needs, providing a structured, nurturing environment where pupils are supported to develop essential life skills alongside academic learning.
As the Food Technology Teacher, you will plan and deliver practical, differentiated Food Technology lessons tailored to meet individual needs. You will support pupils in developing cooking skills, understanding nutrition and building independence, while working closely with support staff to ensure lessons are accessible and engaging. The role also involves promoting positive behaviour, supporting social development and maintaining a safe, well-managed learning environment.
To be successful, you should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or have relevant teaching experience in Food Technology. Experience working within an SEN or inclusive setting is desirable but not essential. xjnqpsq Strong communication skills, patience and a genuine commitment to supporting young people with additional needs are essential.
