A well–respected specialist school near Haywards Heath is looking for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to support children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The students range between 5 and 11 years old, and face a range of social, emotional and mental health needs, and challenges including trauma, anxiety, OCD, and behavioural issues. The students therefore need a Mental Health Teaching Assistant who will be dedicated to being a consistent role model, is committed to building strong relationships, is empathetic and up for a challenge! The school is located in the beautiful area of Haywards Heath and has on–site parking.

The ideal Mental Health Teaching Assistant must be open–minded, resilient, and knowledgeable about mental health. The perfect candidate will have experience with SEN children and/or adults in any setting. Graduates in Psychology, Criminology or Counselling would also be perfect for this position.

90– 110 per day, Mon–Fri, 8.30am–3pm, PAYE, term time only

Excellent on–site training, support and CPD is provided to ensure safeguarding of all students
