About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join a secondary school in Hammersmith and Fulham. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong science background.
Key Responsibilities
Preparing, setting up, and clearing away laboratory equipment and materials for science lessons.
Ensuring all experiments and demonstrations are carried out safely and in line with health and safety regulations.
Maintaining, repairing, and organising scientific apparatus and laboratory equipment.
Ordering and managing stock of chemicals and materials.
Assisting teachers during practical lessons when required.
Supporting students with their learning in practical sessions.
Requirements
A science-related qualification or relevant experience working in a laboratory or school setting.
Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures in a laboratory environment.
Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
Enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Prospero Teaching).
