Temp to Permanent Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Welfare Officer to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Ealing, West London from September. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welfare professional looking for a temp-to-permanent position within a supportive school environment.

As the School Welfare Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the health, wellbeing and welfare of pupils, ensuring they receive appropriate care throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

Provide first aid treatment and care for pupils, staff and visitors.

Manage and maintain medical records and accident reports.

Administer medication in line with school policies.

Monitor pupils with medical conditions and liaise with parents, carers and external agencies where required.

Support attendance and pupil wellbeing initiatives.

Maintain medical supplies and ensure first aid equipment is fully stocked.

Promote safeguarding, health and wellbeing across the school community.

Provide a calm, caring and professional presence for pupils requiring support.Requirements

Current First Aid at Work qualification (essential).

Previous experience working in a school, healthcare, welfare or pastoral setting.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage sensitive situations professionally.

Good record-keeping and administration skills.

A genuine passion for supporting children and young people's wellbeing.

Knowledge of safeguarding procedures is desirable.What's on Offer?
