Cover Supervisor - Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr

Location: Rhondda Cynon Taf and surrounding areas

Pay: GBP120 per day

Hours: 08:30 - 15:30, 6.5 hours per day

Contract: Flexible, temporary and ongoing opportunities

Are you an experienced Cover Supervisor in Rhondda Cynon Taf or Merthyr looking for flexible work within local secondary schools?

We are recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf and Merthyr

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors who are looking for flexible daily supply work, regular ongoing placements or a better work-life balance.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of the usual classroom teacher. Work will already be prepared, and your role will be to ensure pupils remain focused, engaged and working in a safe and positive learning environment.

The Cover Supervisor Role

Your responsibilities will include:

Supervising secondary school pupils during teacher absences

Delivering pre-prepared lessons and classroom activities

Managing classroom behaviour effectively

Ensuring pupils remain engaged and complete the work provided

Supporting students with questions and general classroom guidance

Following school policies and safeguarding procedures

Providing feedback to teaching staff at the end of each lesson

Creating a calm, positive and productive learning environmentAbout You

We are looking for candidates who have previous experience working as a Cover Supervisor within a secondary school environment. xjnqpsq

You should also have:

Strong classroom and behaviour-management skills

Confidence supervising groups of secondary-aged pupils

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

A professional, dependable and flexible approach

The ability to follow lesson plans and school instructions

A genuine commitment to supporting young people

An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities within educationWhat We Offer
