Job Title: School Site Supervisor

Location: Preston

Hours: Monday–Friday (split shift)

7:00am – 9:30am & 2:00pm – 5:30pm

Pay: 17.50 per hour

Contract: Temp to Permanent

Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and proactive School Site Supervisor to support the smooth running and safety of the school site. This role involves maintaining the school building, ensuring health & safety standards are met, opening & locking the site, and carrying out basic repairs / maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Open and secure the school site daily

Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and caretaking duties

Conduct routine checks including alarm testing, fire safety checks and water temperature checks

Support with contractors on site and monitor access

Ensure the school building, grounds and facilities are safe and well–presented at all times

Assist with deliveries, moving furniture and general caretaking tasks

Report any hazards, repairs or safeguarding concerns appropriately

Requirements:

Previous experience in a school environment or in a similar building/site maintenance role (essential)

Ability to use initiative and work independently

Must hold a current DBS or be willing to obtain one

Must be willing to undergo full reference checks prior to starting

Knowledge of basic maintenance, health & safety checks and alarm testing (fire alarms / intruder alarms)

Reliable, punctual and committed to working the split shift hours stated
