School Care Worker

Location: Northwood, North West London

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a compassionate and reliable School Care Worker with experience supporting children or young people with additional needs? Do you have the skills and empathy to provide personal, physical, and emotional care in a nurturing school environment?

Uniform Education is recruiting a dedicated School Care Worker for a specialist SEN school in Northwood. The school caters for pupils with complex physical and learning needs, including PMLD, SLD, and medical requirements.

About the Role:

As a School Care Worker, you will:

*

Provide personal care and physical support to pupils with complex needs

*

Assist with manual handling, hoisting, and mobility around the school (training provided if needed)

*

Support pupils with feeding, including PEG feeding and other medical routines (training provided if required)

*

Work alongside teachers, therapists, and support staff to meet pupils’ individual care and learning plans

*

Encourage independence, dignity, and social interaction in all pupils

*

Maintain accurate records and ensure all care is delivered safely and respectfully

*

Create a calm, safe, and inclusive environment for every child

What We’re Looking For:

*

Experience working in a care or SEN setting (essential)

*

Manual Handling and/or PEG Feeding training (desirable but can be provided)

*

Kind, patient, and professional approach to supporting children with complex needs

*

Strong teamwork and communication skills

*

Willingness to assist with personal care and medical routines

*

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply via Uniform Education)
