A welcoming and popular primary school in Colchester is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to join their team from January 2026, working full time until July 2026.
The ideal candidate will:
Deliver high–quality, engaging lessons that support strong progress in Upper Key Stage 2
Have a solid understanding of Year 5 curriculum expectations and assessment practices
Build positive, supportive relationships with pupils, encouraging both academic achievement and personal growth
Demonstrate strong behaviour management rooted in consistency, respect, and clear expectations
Show excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to planning and teamwork
Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and senior leaders
Contribute to a positive school culture and wider school life
This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about helping pupils gain confidence and prepare for the transition to Year 6.
