Are you a passionate and resilient L3/2 SEND Teaching Assistant?

Aspire People are looking to recruit a qualified SEND teaching assistant for an amazing SEND school, to assist children with a primary diagnosis of Autism & associated challenging behaviours. We are looking for experienced teaching assistants who can encourage, motivate and support children within the classroom so that they can access the curriculum with confidence.

This is a Good school in the North Birmingham area, the children range from 3–16 years and all have an ASD diagnosis and many have associated complex behaviours.

The children you will be supporting most likely demonstrate behavioural dysregulation and lower–level disruption. To support these behaviours you will need to be able to motivate the children to help support the teacher whilst demonstrating a patient and understanding nature.

This is a long–term role with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate:

Level 3 or 2 qualification in Teaching & Learning (ideal) from the UK

Long term (an academic term or more) experience of working with children on a one to one basis

SEN experience covering Autism

Able to communicate and build rapport with the children you support

Passionate about working with SEN children & dedicated to helping them thrive and achieve targets set in line with their individual education plan's (IEP)

A highly skilled, dedicated consultant with and in–depth knowledge of SEND

Excellent rates of PAY!

Access to free online training and CPD
