Prospero Teaching are working with a supportive and inclusive primary school in the Knowsley area. The school is dedicated to providing high-quality support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, helping every child to achieve their potential in a safe and nurturing environment.
Position Details:
The school are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide focused support to pupils with additional needs. This may include Autism, ADHD, speech and language challenges, learning delays, or social, emotional and mental health needs. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver personalised interventions and maintain a positive, structured classroom environment.
Responsibilities:
Delivering one-to-one or small-group support for pupils with SEND.
Assisting with individual learning plans and targeted interventions.
Supporting communication, emotional regulation, and behaviour needs.
Helping the class teacher adapt resources for individual pupil needs.
Promoting a calm, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Experience & Requirements:
Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a school or similar setting is desirable. xjnqpsq
A valid, enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to supporting children.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
