Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School - Brent - January 2026 Start
Are you a recent Maths graduate eager to gain hands-on classroom experience before starting your teacher training?
Would you like to inspire young learners and support experienced teachers in a high-achieving secondary school?
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Brent seeking a motivated Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from January 2026. This is a full-time, long-term position (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm) - ideal for aspiring teachers or graduates interested in education, tutoring, or educational psychology.
Maths Graduate Teaching Assistant - Role Overview
Support students in Maths across Key Stages 3 and 4, both in lessons and through small-group interventions.
Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation, planning, and delivery.
Provide targeted support to students with SEN, EAL, or lower prior attainment.
Help maintain a focused, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
Build strong relationships with students as a positive role model and academic mentor.
Gain valuable insight into teaching - perfect preparation for PGCE, Schools Direct, or Teach First applications.
Requirements
A recent Maths graduate (or related discipline).
Strong academic background with a genuine passion for education.
Confident, enthusiastic, and proactive communicator.
Patient, adaptable, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
