About the Role

Forever Teaching is recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in North Manchester for a dedicated Pastoral Mentor to join their team. This is a vital role supporting students who are at risk of exclusion, helping them manage behaviour, build positive relationships, and get back on track with their learning.

As a Pastoral Mentor, you will:

* Work closely with students on the verge of exclusion, providing tailored support and guidance.

* Build trust and strong relationships to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.

* Help pupils develop strategies to manage emotions, regulate behaviour, and make better choices.

* Act as a positive role model, supporting students to re-engage with education.

* Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure each student has the right support.

What We’re Looking For

* Experience working with young people in a school, youth work, mentoring, or support capacity.

* Strong behaviour management skills with a calm, patient, and resilient approach.

* Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with young people facing challenges.

* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

* A genuine passion for helping students succeed and reach their potential.

* An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to apply for one).
