Make a Difference: SEN Driving Learning Mentor

Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and a full UK driving licence? Are you looking for a rewarding role where you can make a real impact?

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Learning Mentor to join one of our Plymouth schools within Transforming Futures Trust. In this role, you will play a vital part in helping young people with SEN gain skills and confidence in and outside the classroom.

About the Role:

Provide tailored support to learners with SEN, both in the classroom and during practical driving lessons.Develop positive and trusting relationships with learners, fostering a supportive learning environment.Work collaboratively with driving instructors, parents/carers and other professionals to create personalised learning plans.Contribute to the assessment of learners' progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.Maintain accurate and detailed records of learner progress.Use a variety of teaching strategies to cater to individual needs and learning styles.You will be:

Patient, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young people with SEN.A strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.Able to build rapport and trust with learners quickly.Flexible and adaptable, able to think on your feet and problem-solve.A full UK driving licence holder with a clean driving record.DBS checked.We offer:
